Pre-order policy & stock status
The status of a product is shown in multiple places on the website. When you search for a product, the status is shown:
1) Below the product image & title.
2) On the product page the stock status is shown to the right of the image.
3) At the basket page, the stock status is also shown to the right of the image.
A pre-order is a way of placing an order for an item that is available to order but we are waiting to receive the stock from the supplier. By ordering it now, the product is reserved for you ready to despatched once we receive it in our warehouse. Payment is taken at the point of placing the pre-order.
Once the items are received into our Warehouse we aim to process and dispatch it to you within 48 hours. The estimated date we will be receiving the product from our supplier is as stated in the stock status e.g. ‘Pre-order by mid-December’.
If you place an order which contains a pre-order item(s) as well as an in-stock item(s), your order will not be despatched until ALL the products within the order are in stock.
We are reliant on our suppliers to deliver to us on time and if the item(s) you have ordered are not delivered to us by the publisher by the expected date, the expected availability date will change. This will be displayed on the product page e.g. ‘Pre-order by mid-December’. If a publisher is unable to deliver to us for any reason, we will contact you to offer an exchange or refund.
In stock products are sitting on the shelves in our warehouse, ready for us to send to you! If you order before 2pm your order will normally be shipped out the same day* (except if it contains a pre-order title or if we are in the height of our busy season, where despatch delays do occur).
This means we have yet to order the product from the supplier and it is not currently available to order.
Out of stock
This product is currently out of stock in our warehouse and not available to order.
* During our busy season despatch delays can occur. Please know that we are working very hard to despatch your order as fast as possible. We can only despatch orders when Royal Mail or DHL can collect them from our warehouse (Monday to Friday). Please note that intervening holidays such as Good Friday, Easter Monday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and all other bank holidays may affect delivery. Adverse weather conditions may also impact on delivery times.
