A law graduate from the University of Glasgow and then discovered in a London Cafe, Gerard Butler's career has hardly been conventional. This Scottish actor's film debut was in the 1997 film Mrs Brown and he went on to win critical acclaim as the Phantom in 2004, in a film adaption of the stage production, Phantom of the Opera.
